Freight Forwarder

Freight forwarding agents, some of which are intermediaries who do not have their own ships or planes, or shipping companies or airlines, are all freight forwarders. The responsibility is to transport the goods entrusted by the client from one place to another through the designated transportation route. Freight forwarding is a company that acts as an agent for transportation companies (sea, land, air) to receive and collect goods, thus playing an important connecting role in completing trade between shippers and merchants.
From the basic nature of international freight forwarders, they mainly accept commissions from clients to handle matters related to the transportation, transfer, warehousing, loading and unloading of goods. On the one hand, it enters into a transportation contract with the consignor of goods, and at the same time, it signs a contract with the transportation department. For the consignor of goods, it is also the carrier of the goods.
Serve the shipper
The freight forwarder undertakes any procedures in the transportation of different goods on behalf of the shipper:
1. Arrange suitable packaging for goods using fast and cost-effective transportation methods, and choose the transportation route for the goods.
2. Suggest warehousing and distribution to customers.
3. Select a reliable and efficient carrier and be responsible for concluding the transportation contract.
4. Arrange the weighing and measurement of goods.
5. Handle cargo insurance.
6. Assembly of goods.
7. Store the goods in the warehouse before shipment or distribution at the destination.
8. Arrange the transportation of goods to the port, handle customs and relevant documentation procedures, and hand over the goods to the carrier.
9. Representing the shipper/importer to bear freight, customs duties and taxes.
10. Handle any foreign exchange transactions related to the transportation of goods.
11. Obtain various signed bills of lading from the carrier and hand them over to the shipper.
12. Supervise the transportation process of goods and inform the consignor of the destination of the goods by contacting the carrier and freight agent abroad.
